Shivnarine Chanderpaul was known as one of those batsmen who could bat for long even with little support at the other end and was famous for his unusual batting stance. Chanderpaul was a part of the West Indies team between 1994 and 2015, a period in which the team rarely won having dominating International cricket in the 1970s and 1980s. His International career ended abruptly in 2015 but he continued to feature in County Cricket and in the Caribbean domestic tournaments where he plays along with his son.

69 – His century off 69 balls against Australia in the Georgetown Test in 2003 is the 2nd fastest hundred by a West Indian in Test cricket. Sir Vivian Richards scored a 56-ball hundred in the Antigua Test in 1986 against England.
