Yesterday, ace Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik gave birth to a son and both were ecstatic after the development. The latter also tweeted about the same later. The couple are married ever since April 12, 2012, and has thereafter give couple goals to a number of aspiring lovebirds. They named the baby boy- Izhaan Mirza Malik.
The name means submission or obedience (in God) in Arabic. It has also been learned that the boy weighs around 3.5 kgs. The news of Sania’s pregnancy broke in April this year and the duo has been hogging the headlines ever since. The 31-year-old tennis star is a six-time Grand Slam Champion and one of the very best India have ever produced.
Supporters pleased with Malik
In the meantime, the 36-year-old Malik has shown immense commitment and has flown to Dubai in order to represent his nation in the first T20I against New Zealand, which is scheduled to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The second and third encounter will take place in Dubai on Friday, November 02 and Sunday, November 04 respectively.
Amidst all the responsibilities, he also played a couple of T20Is against Australia at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Albeit he could only manage scores of 14 and 18 respectively, the seasoned campaigner is expected to play a crucial role against Kane Williamson’s Black Caps. Pakistan, led by Sarfraz Ahmed, are currently the number one-ranked T20I team in the world.
Malik has an experience of a staggering 105 T20Is in which he has scored 2153 runs at an average of 31.66 with seven half-centuries. Moreover, he also has picked up 28 wickets with his off-breaks, which has often been useful for his team. Meanwhile, Twiteratti is heaping praises on the cricketer for his love and dedication towards the game and the national team.
