Shpageeza Cricket League 2020: Complete list of players participating in the tournament
The league features all the top stars from Afganistan cricket.
The players’ draft was announced for the Shpageeza Cricket league, the prime league of Afganistan cricket board. The tournament is kicking off from 6th September and the final will be played on 18th September. The extravaganza has been preponed to avoid any clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL). Notably, the first game of the IPL will be played on 19th September.
All the matches of the tournament will be played at Kabul Cricket Stadium. The tournament was supposed to start from 13th September but was shifted to a week prior. The league features all the top stars from Afganistan cricket and is a celebrated league in the Asian nation. The tournament features 6 teams and Mis Ainak Knights are the defending champions.
The players were divided into different pools. The pools were named, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Each team has retained one player and selected an icon player as well. The tournament will be played with protocols keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic. The security of the event is also very important considering the situation in Afghanistan.
