Shreyas Iyer & Co. are just one win away from creating history for Delhi Capitals. The Mumbai star has led the franchise to the final of the IPL for the very first time and will be looking to guide the team to a historic win in the final. Delhi Capitals will lock horns against reigning IPL champions Mumbai Indians in the title-decider on Tuesday (November 10).

Delhi made it to the final after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs in the second qualifier on Sunday. Having lost the first qualifier by 57 runs, Delhi bounced back in style to beat the in-form SRH. Batting first, they piled up 189 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan starred with the bat and top-scored for the side, scoring 78 off 50 balls.

In reply, SRH ended up on 172 for 8. In-form Kane Williamson scored another fighting fifty but it eventually went in vain. The New Zealand skipper scored 67 off 45 balls. Kagiso Rabada and Marcus Stoinis impressed with the ball for Delhi Capitals. Rabada picked up four wickets including three on three legal deliveries in the 19th over.

On the other hand, Stoinis, who scored 38 while opening the innings, picked up 3 wickets for 26 off three overs. The Australia allrounder picked the important wicket of Williamson in the 17th over which put Delhi firmly in the driver’s seat.

Shreyas Iyer’s hilarious impersonation of Marcus Stoinis

Before the start of the second qualifier, Shreyas Iyer lightened up the mood in the Delhi camp with a hilarious impersonation of Marcus Stoinis. The players and the coaches were in splits as the Delhi skipper aced his teammate’s walking style. Iyer walked into the team meeting while mimicking Stoinis. Head coach Ricky Ponting also played his part in the act by announcing: “Here comes Marcus Stoinis.”

In the video, Iyer could be seen walking just like the Australian allrounder and also copied the latter’s habit of chewing the gum. Stoinis was left in splits and stood up from his seat to cheer and clap for Iyer while others were laughing too.
