Home quarantine amid Coronavirus pandemic has left the cricketers with nothing much to do. While some of them are busy spending time with their loved ones, few are making sure they interact with their fans on social media. The likes of Shreyas Iyer and Kane Williamson, however, are still itching to play it seems and have included their pet dogs in their team for the same.

Recently the New Zealand skipper posted a video on his official Instagram handle playing with his dog Sandy. In the video, it could be seen that Williamson is edging the ball purposely to his dog who jumps and takes a fantastic catch. Shreyas Iyer too tried doing the same with his dog Bretty.

However, they failed in their first attempt as Bretty failed to latch on to the ball after timing its jump perfectly. Though according to India’s number four went on to inform that it took a while for Bretty to match Sandy but it ran to celebrate after finally catching one.

“Betty wanted to have a go too after watching Kane Williamson’s beautiful dog Sandy nail that catch. Took Betty a while but she’s got her first catch and immediately ran to celebrate,” Shreyas Iyer captioned the video on Twitter.

All Indian cricketers stuck at home amid COVID-19

Like Shreyas Iyer, all the Indian cricketers and those around the world are stuck at home at the moment. The Coronavirus continues to harm all the sporting events as well as most of them are either postponed or cancelled. While the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are spending quality time with their families, some of them are busy interacting with their fans on social media.

The Pandya brothers, Hardik and Krunal, are enjoying their home quarantine in a unique way with their partners using TikTok as their entertainment source. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah recently posted a photo of cleaning the house and helping his mother in household work. As far as the lockdown is concerned, it will last until April 15 though it is still not clear if normal life will resume post that in the country.
