Shreyas Iyer's dog betrays him after cricketer left her on the street during a fun activity with sister
India middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is spending some quality time with his family during the off-season
India middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer recently is in news for the all right reasons. First up, he has started to work out and train at home after recovering from the shoulder injury which he suffered during India’s first ODI match against England.
The elegant right-hand batter is also one of the most active cricketers on social media and keeps his fans entertained by posting pictures and videos of himself or his family. Recently, Iyer posted a picture in which we can see him running outdoors which is a good sign for India as he is one of the candidates to be named in the squad for the Sri Lankan tour.
After a few days, the India middle-order batter was again at it. He posted a comical video with his sister Shresta and their dog Betty on Instagram. In a short video clip, the 26-year-old and his sister did a harmless experiment on Betty just to find out whom she chooses among the two. The result didn’t yield a favorable result for Iyer as he found out Betty was closer to his sister.

The video starts with Iyer, Betty, and Shresta standing on the street where the background music says “If you have a dog. Run in the opposite direction to see who your dog loves more.” When the duo did so, the dog ran in Shresta’s direction. “And when the camera is on, she runs in the opposite direction,” Iyer wrote.
As soon as the video went viral, fans could not stop laughing and started to write comments. “Just accept the defeat, Iyer,” wrote one of the users. Another said, “Wow! Awesome Shreyas bro.”
Iyer’s speedy recovery from the injury is a sign of a good thing for management and selectors as he is sure to make it to the squad if recovered fully. He is also one of the probable candidates to be named as skipper of the young squad that will take on Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI and T20I series scheduled to begin on 13th July sans the regular India members who will be away in England.
