Shubman Gill shares a hilarious story when Rishabh Pant, Krunal Pandya and Ishan Kishan pranked him
Gill has been with the Indian Test squad for the past few months but unfortunately hasn't got an opportunity yet.
The coronavirus threat has stopped all sporting event across the globe. Players who generally have to stay away from home and travel, are now confined to their home. The current situation of lockdown has opened doors for them to spend some time with their families.
Some of the players are using this time to interact with their online fans via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab batsman Shubman Gill recently decided to have a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter. During this interaction, Gill answered several questions and shared an interesting story.
Shubman Gill conducted a Q&A session on Twitter
During the Q&A session, a fan asked Shubman Gill if he has been ever pranked by any team member. The fan asked him to share his story. “Did you ever got pranked by your team member. Can you share some interesting story? #AskShubman”, the tweet from the fan.
Upon being asked this question, the young batsman revealed a very fun story. He revealed one incident from the time he had gone out for having the Japanese dish, sushi with Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya. He said that the trio convinced him that Wasabi was a dessert item and he believed them.
Wasabi, on the other hand, is a paste made out of the plant–wasabi– which is also known as Japanese horseradish. The paste of wasabi is very spicy and it could be sometimes too much for a person.
“I went to have sushi for the first time with @RishabhPant17, @ishankishan51 and @krunalpandya24. They convinced me that wasabi was a great dessert and I believed them”, Gill tweeted back in response.
Shubman Gill has played with Ishan Kishan, Pant and Pandya for India A team. Other than Kishan, rest of three players have already made their international debuts. Krunal Pandya has played in only T20Is so far while Shubman Gill has played in only two ODIs.
Gill has been with the Indian Test squad for the past few months but unfortunately hasn’t got an opportunity yet. Rishabh Pant has played for India in all three formats. However, in recent times, Pant has found it difficult to hold back his place in the side. Ishan Kishan, who plays for Jharkhand, has also been on the radar of the national selectors for some time now.
