Slogans and Success Mantras of the top cricket teams: Cricket is a magnificent game which has been entertaining people from centuries. In cricket, there are many teams which play the very sport and leave behind their great cricketing legacy which is cherished and treasured by everyone. There are many teams who have played the game but very few have been able to left their mark and be as successful as teams like Australia, England, West Indies, India, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Ireland. Every team has its own unique characteristic features and flair of playing, which separates them from the rest. They have their own set of things which work out and reap fruits for them. They have their own rich legacy which players inherit across time. Today, let’s have a look at the Slogans and Success Mantras of the top cricket teams: 1. They believe in dominating the opponent team to the hilt and doesn’t hesitate in resorting to any trick for success on the field. They are an aggressive side and don’t mind risking a defeat even if there is only slight sniff of a victory. They are such guys who will mercilessly abuse you or sledge you on the face to put you off on the field and it’s something which is a characteristic Aussie trait but the same guys are as heart-warming as anyone you would meet off the field in any walk of life. 2. West Indies – “Play hard and Party Harder” West Indies. They believe in playing hard on the field and partying even harder off it. Their fate might have changed from a dominating side to an average side but yet they have a different pedigree and swagger on the field which has gone unchanged and has brought them a lot of success. They play with a lot of flamboyance and if you dare to challenge them on the field, they will come up with all their guns blazing. 3. Pakistan – “Bombarding teams with lethal bowling”: Pakistan. Be it fast bowlers or spinners, the Pakistani team has gifted the cricketing world with some of the most prodigal talents like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis, Fazal Mahmood, Sarfaraz Nawaz, Saqlain Mushtaq, Abdul Qadir and many more who have etched their authority on the cricketing history in golden letters. Over the years, they have relied on their bowling to win matches which has been their mantra for success and their batting has emerged as second fiddle. 4. India – “Bat them out’’: India. Till now, their batting has been a class apart and has helped the Indian’s triumph to glory on several occasions. Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, and V.V.S Laxman have been some of their most successful batsmen ever. Posting big totals on the board or chasing down improbable targets have been the highlights of their illustrious CV’s. The bowling has been the Achilles’ heel of the Indian cricket team for decades and their success mantra lies is battling out the opponents with their bulky batting. 5. New Zealand – “Teamwork makes the dream work”: New Zealand. They are bunch of selfless guys who cherish the success of each other to every bit and piece. Unlike the Asian teams there is no clash of egos among the players. You just give them slight sniff of victory and they will latch on to it in no time. They are neutral fan’s favorite and are a team which reflects true sportsmanship which is respected by everyone in the cricketing fraternity. 6. South Africa – “Fast and fiery”: South Africa. They are characterized by their abilities with which they ignite fire on the 22 yards. From Maritzburg Mamba, Jonty Rhodes to Superman of cricket, AB de Villiers to the White Lightning, Allan Donald; their cricketing legacy has been defined by their lively energy on the field. When they are playing, it appears as if they put their lives on the line. They have the ability to rip apart any opposition. 7. Sri Lanka – “Emerald islanders with golden heart/ Stand Tall,Talk Small, Play Ball”: Sri Lanka. Their First-Class structure is also not that vast and generally talented players are spotted in schools. But yet they have won the 50-over and T20 World Cup competitions. Their success lies in the very fact that they possess lion-hearted players in their side who put up marathon performances and give whatever is there in the tank. They generally like to stay away from limelight and are true Gentlemen’s of the game. 8. England – “Class personified”: England. Their cricketers like playing the game in old-school manner as they prefer elegance and graciousness over brashness which has brought about many laurels for them in the game of cricket. They are the team with the highest number of Test wins under their belt. Their great players like Wally Hammond, Jack Hobbs, Alastair Cook and James Anderson are the face of sheer class. 9. Bangladesh – “Loyalty of fans fire them”: Bangladesh. Inconsistency has been their biggest riddle in the path of success. But yet their fans have backed them up to the hilt and in dire situations when they have performed miserably over long periods of time. But yet, despite of the melancholy which has gripped this cricketing nation, the players maintain high spirits and root out every problem by taking all these disappointing things as inspiration to perform even better and win back the heart of the fans with their dazzling performances. 11. It is regarded as one of the strongest teams among the Associate members. The key to their success is the level of unity with which they go about their game on the field. Their body language suggests that they are ready to do anything for their teammates. They have one dream and that is to win, for which they keep striving harder and harder. They have been able to establish strong bonds in their team and have defeated teams like England, Pakistan, West Indies and Zimbabwe in World Cup cricket.
