The Indian Women’s team is currently in Malaysia playing the ongoing Asia Cup T20 tournament. The girls are touted as the favourites to win the coveted title and fittingly have reached the final where they will face Bangladesh Women. India defeated Pakistan in the virtual semi-final on Saturday and stormed into their seventh consecutive final. However, they are also enjoying their time in Malaysia as Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy walked to the theatre to watch the latest Bollywood movie Veere di Wedding.
Veere di Wedding is the latest Bollywood flick which has garnered the attention and is doing well at the Box Office. There is no hero in the movie and the likes of Kareen Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker have sizzled on the screen with some scintillating acting.
Veda and Smriti loved the movie
Amidst their busy schedule of the tournament, the girls found time to watch the movie after their game against Malaysia and interestingly had to walk to the theatre to avoid the traffic due to the rain. Veda Krishnamurthy took to the Twitter to reveal their struggle to reach the theatre due to the rains in Malaysia but was happy as she loved the movie to the fullest and praised Swara for her brilliant acting.
“Watch @vdwthefilm amidst of all the traffic and rains in Malaysia !!! Walked almost 2 kms to make it to the theatres just so that we don’t miss coz of traffic !!! And totally worth it !! Special shout to @ReallySwara !! will watch it again in India #toomanyscensoredcuts,” she tweeted.
Her teammate and her partner in crime Smriti Mandhana also loved the acting of the same actress and she also hailed Swara Bhasker for her skills.
India Women will now play the final against Bangladesh on Sunday and would be looking to continue their record of winning all the editions of Asia Cup.
