'So much to learn from how he played' - Marnus Labuschagne on Sachin Tendulkar

Even though Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has retired from international cricket for over eight years, his fan following seems to have no end. Apart from fans, professional cricketers also remain keen to gain a lot of cricketing wisdom from him and the latest entry here is of Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne.

During a Q&A session on his Twitter, Labuschagne added how there is so much to learn from how Tendulkar played. The Australian stalwart praised his techniques and stated that he still loves watching old videos of the legendary cricketer.

“Still love watching old footage of @sachin_rt bat now. unbelievable technique, so much to learn from how he played the game,” tweeted Marnus Labuschagne when asked his opinion on Sachin Tendulkar.

Marnus Labuschagne is top-ranked Test batter currently 

Talking of Labuschagne in the current context, he is a vital part of the Australian team that is all set for a historic tour of Pakistan after 24 years. In the same series, the Australians will square off against hosts for three Tests and ODIs each and a one-off T20I match. It is important to note that the 27-year-old batter is currently top-ranked Test batter ICC rankings. The batter was also seen recently responding to a post asking if he is excited about the Pakistan tour.

Interestingly, Labuschagne marked his Test debut against Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium back in 2018. He couldn’t shine much with the bat while scoring 0 and 13 in the game and picked a wicket in each innings. Australia are currently placed second on the WTC table with 86.6 percentage points.

It is also important to note that Queensland cricketer has registered himself this time for the IPL 2022 mega auction. The mega auction is all set to get underway on 12-13 February in Bangalore and he will be one of the 590 players to go under the hammer. The Australian cricketer has made himself available for the showpiece event under the 1 crore base price bracket.
