Ahead of the much-awaited series between Australia and New Zealand Women, both captains posed with the T20I series trophy. Interestingly, amid the media commitments and the photo shoot, both Alyssa Healy and her counterpart Sophie Devine engaged in a hilarious banter regarding the experience of playing in a World Cup among other things.

The White Ferns aka New Zealand Women's team posted a hilarious video on their social media handle in the same vein. In the video, both captains were visibly posing while also having a chit-chat regarding how both teams historically fared against each other. Moreover, they started recalling how many World Cups some legendary players have featured in so far. Furthermore, their discussions continued with their respective age numbers as well.

"Do you remember we couldn't beat ya for ages? Did you play the World Cup in England?" said Healy collectively in the video.

"Yes, that was a great period. It's always shambles here. West Indies, it's nearly time for me to go," Devine replied to Healy while referring to playing in Australia and her World Cup experience.

Alyssa Healy then further carried on the banter and asked Devine about her World Cup appearances while also recalling the appearances of India Women's Captain Harmanpreet and Sri Lanka Captain Chamari Athapaththu. Healy revealed to the New Zealander while expressing her bafflement at the fact that Kaur had already played in nine World Cup editions. While Devine revealed that Chamari was already aged 43.

However, in the follow-up, Devine was puzzled about Healy asking about appearances after she stated that she turned 35 years old recently. To this, the former darted back at the skillful wicketkeeper with an intent of suspicion that Healy was referring to the former as being already old enough to consider retirement as the Australian reminded the New Zealand skipper that she was six months older than her.

Check out Healy and Devine's hilarious banter here:

"Is this your ninth (World Cup)? I didn't realise Harmanpreet was 9. Chamari? She's played 9, how old is she?" Healy continued probing.

"I have turned 35, you're only six months older than me," Healy hilariously tried trolling Devine.

"Yes, why so? Are you calling me old?" the Wellington-born retorted back with the question.

Further carrying their banter, suddenly, Sophie Devine came up with a startling question. She asked Healty whether she was interested in a boxing match. In reply, Healy showed her cautious approach and instantly refused the idea of a possible clash inside a boxing ring by saying "Oh no! Thank you."

Post the chat they gave a power pose for the camera and then sat on their knees while Sophie Devine said she may not be able to get up again on a lighter note to the Australian Captain. This concluded their funny banter before the series between the two Trans-Tasman rivalry takes off.

Meanwhile, ahead of the three-match series, Alyssa Healy made it amply clear that Australia Women will not look to experiment with their playing combinations and the playing XI. They will most certainly field their strongest possible team against New Zealand. Sophie Devine believed that playing against the best team in the world was an ideal preparation for the mega event.

Notably, the Kiwis had a forgettable tour of England in recent times. The Aussies have not played a single series since the beginning of April earlier this year when they were in their experiment mode against Bangladesh. Notably, the T20I series between both nations will kickoff from Thursday, September 19.
