Virat Kohli's hilarious interaction with Ravindra Jadeja had cricket enthusiasts in splits during the first innings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season opener between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The incident took place in the 11th over of RCB's innings after Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first. Cameron Green pushed a delivery back to Jadeja, who was in the middle of his third over. The star Indian all-rounder is known for completing his overs in the blink of an eye. After stopping the ball, he playfully threatened to pass it to Kohli before rushing back to his mark to bowl the next delivery. In reply, the legendary Indian batter asked Jadeja to give Green some time to breathe.
"Abey sans to lene de usko," said Kohli, which translates to "let Cameron Green breathe, man." The video went viral in minutes as fans loved the camaraderie between the two old friends.

CSK debutants Mustafizur Rahman, Rachin Ravindra star in six-wicket win against RCB
Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost wickets in clusters at two points in their innings and a much-needed 95-run partnership off 50 balls between Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat helped them get to a competitive score of 173/6 in their 20 overs. Mustafizur Rahman, making his debut for the Men in Yellow, finished with his best IPL figures of 4/29, accounting for four out of the top five batters in the RCB lineup.
Another player making his CSK debut, Rachin Ravindra, smashed a quickfire 37 off just 15 balls to bring the required run rate substantially down in the first seven overs. After the fiery start given by the young Kiwi all-rounder, the Super Kings controlled proceedings in front of their home fans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The defending champions lost the wickets of new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, and Daryl Mitchell but Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja took them home with an unbeaten 66-run partnership off 37 balls. CSK won by six wickets with eight balls to spare and registered their first points in IPL 2024.
