'Actions speak louder than words' - Preity Zinta posts heartfelt message for PBKS sensation Priyansh Arya

Punjab Kings' owner, Preity Zinta, took to X to commend Priyansh Arya for his splendid maiden IPL ton which came against Chennai Super Kings during Match 22 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 8.

She expressed how she felt during her first interaction with the 24-year-old. At the conclusion of her long-winded and heartwarming message, Zinta hoped for more such innings and a wide smile on Priyansh's face.

Priyansh's fearless knock was all the more impressive considering the dire state PBKS were in the game. Opting to bat first, the hosts were reduced to 83/5 at the end of eight overs, with the left-handed Priyansh serving as the lone warrior.

His 103 (42) comprised seven fours and nine sixes. He was dismissed in the 14th over, setting the stage for Shashank Singh and Marco Jansen to go all guns blazing to end with 219/6 as PBKS ended up emerging victorious by 18 runs in the end. 

CSK lost only five wickets during their run-chase. However, PBKS' bowlers never let the visitors to run ahead of the required run rate. Priyansh was deservedly awarded the Player of the Match at the post-match ceremony.

His 39-ball ton was the joint-fourth quickest in the history of the IPL. He also became the eighth uncapped player in the marquee T20 tournament to register a hundred. It was the fastest hundred by an uncapped player in terms of the number of deliveries faced across all editions of the IPL up until now.
