"Afghanistan’s steady and consistent rise in international cricket has been inspiring! You can’t term their wins as upsets anymore, they’ve made this a habit now. A superb century by @IZadran18 and wonderful five-for by @AzmatOmarzay, sealed another memorable win for Afghanistan. Well played!" Tendulkar posted after the game.

Afghanistan kept the cricketing world yet again on toes with an exceptional eight-run triumph over England in a must-win clash, with the win coming on the back of an outstanding 177-run knock from opener Ibrahim Zadran and a noteworthy five-wicket haul by Azmatullah Omarzai.

Tendulkar’s acknowlegment towards the game resonated hugely with Ibrahim Zadran, who responded to the post with gratitude and warmth . "What an honour it is to be praised by the very man who inspired generations to pick up the bat @sachin_rt.
