Ajinkya Rahane and wife Radhika blessed with a boy baby

Former Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane announced the arrival of his baby boy to the world on an Instagram post and thanked for the love and blessings from the fans. Rahane, who has been dropped from the Indian Test side on account of inconsistency, recently led the West Zone to title triumph in the Duleep Trophy 2022. He suffered an injury during the IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders which kept him out of any form of cricket and returned with a bang in the Duleep Trophy.

However, barring from the double century against North East Zone, he yet again registered low scores in the semi-finals and finals. The 34-year-old wasn’t part of the Irani Trophy 2022 squad but was named as the captain of the Mumbai side for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022.  

Notably, Rahane and his wife Radhika are among the most loved couples in the social media and the fans wished in numbers for the pair. They were blessed with a girl baby few years back and the pictures of Rahane exhibiting love to his daughter has been a delight to watch already.

“This morning Radhika and I welcomed our baby boy into the world. Both Radhika and Baby are doing well and are completely healthy. We’d like to thank you all for love and blessings,” Rahane captioned on Instagram in a post. 

Meanwhile, Rahane was involved in a strange incident during his captaincy for the West Zone as he had to send off Yashasvi Jaiswal for disciplinary issues. The right-hander had issued warning earlier to his teammate Jaiswal for chirping around South Zone batter Ravi Teja in the finals and after continuous warnings, Rahane had no other option than sending back Jaiswal to the dugout. Jaiswal returned to the field after seven overs and majority of the cricketing world supported Rahane on the way he reacted to the incident.
