Star Australia opener Usman Khawaja was pulled off by security personnel after getting into an argument with a member in the Long Room after the first session of the ongoing second Ashes Test. Notably, the visitors took a crucial but controversial wicket when keeper-batter Alex Carey ran out Jonny Bairstow as he left his crease after the over ended.
However, when the teams walked off toward the pavilion, a member in the Long Room stopped Khawaja and had choice words with Khawaja. The 36-year-old batter bit back and got into an argument, at which point security intervened and pushed him away.

Apart from Khawaja, his fellow opener and teammate, David Warner was also dragged away by security in the dramatic circumstances at the Long Room.
Before what took place in the Long Room, there were loud boos across the Lord's Cricket Ground and chants of "Same old Aussies, always cheating" after Bairstow had been removed. Notably, this is one of the scenes that does not normally occur in a place like Lord's, which is esteemed for its pleasant atmosphere.
Meanwhile, following Bairstow's wicket, a renowned English broadcaster, Piers Morgan exclaimed, describing Australia's behaviour as pathetic.
"You cannot be serious??!! Australia, that is pathetic. How can you possibly want to win an Ashes Test match like that?" he wrote on Twitter.
Pacer Stuart Broad took on the Aussie wicketkeeper, Ricky Ponting and Eoin Morgan share their two cents
Veteran pacer, Stuart Broad, who took over after Bairstow's dismissal to pair with skipper Ben Stokes, was overheard saying to Carey that he will be forever remembered for that. Meanwhile, reflecting on the whole Bairstow's bizarre run-out saga, former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting along with England skipper Eoin Morgan came forward to share their views on the controversy.
Ponting hilariously said that he would prefer to hide behind the camera on such matters. Thereafter he cleared the air about Jonny Bairstow's dismissal that the play was not called off by the umpire and hence the England keeper-batter was stumped and not run out technically which was well within the rules. On the other hand, Morgan seemed taken aback as he went on to say that in his whole career, he has never witnessed any incident related to MCC members in the long room area.
