Under new captain Shan Masood, Pakistan has embarked on a tough mission as they face World Test Champions Australia in a three-match Test series Down Under.

The 'Men in Green' reached Australia on Friday, December 1. However, as per reports, no one from the Australian embassy or the Pakistan embassy came to receive them. In a video that is being circulated at a rapid rate on social media, the Pakistani players are seen loading a truck with their luggage themselves. It is quite unexpected as teams are generally welcomed with open arms when they travel to a foreign country to play a series.

Pakistan will begin their campaign in Australia with a four-day warm-up game against Prime Ministers XI in Canberra on Wednesday, December 6. The first Test is scheduled to be played in Perth on Thursday, December 14. The second and third Tests will be held in Melbourne (December 26-30) and Sydney (January 3-7), respectively.

We will make an effort to produce positive results for Pakistan and for the WTC: Shan Masood

The Asian giants will look to pick themselves up after failing to live up to their potential during the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. Babar Azam relinquished captaincy shortly after the debacle and Masood was given the prestigious role. The southpaw has a tough task in hand as Pakistan does not have a great record in Australia. In fact, they are yet to win a series Down Under. However, Masood is looking forward to the opportunity to script history.

"When you have not achieved something in history, then you have an opportunity to change it. So we will make an effort to produce positive results for Pakistan and for the World Test championship," Masood had recently said in an interview.
