Shan Masood-led Pakistan are currently in Australia for a three-match Test series. Both sides are all set to face off in the first Test on December 14, at the Optus Stadium, in Perth. Ahead of the series, the visitors are playing a warm-up game against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra.

In the same warmup game, the visitors were treated to a hilarious moment that left Babar Azam and co. in splits. On Day 2 of the warm-up game, the Pakistan players were seen planning a visit to Canberra. The stump mic caught the conversation between skipper Shan Masood and former captains Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

“Ham time se ready ho jay gay (We’ll get ready on time),” Shan Masood replied, to which Sarfaraz replied, “Ap time py aa jana, ap log 3 log hongy na (Please come on time; you’ll be three guys, right?”

Answering the question, Masood asked who Sarfaraz was talking about. To this, the former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam replied, “(chuckles) Aa teeeja kera aa gya (Where did the third one come from?)”

Pakistan aim to topple Australia in their backyard

Pakistan will be keen on putting in a good performance against Australia; the side will be coming into the series after a below-par performance in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Green failed to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament after they were eliminated in the group stages of the marquee tournament.

Finishing in fifth place in the standings, Pakistan barely missed out on making it to the semi-final, as New Zealand secured fourth place and made it to the semis.

After missing out on the World Cup, Pakistan will seek redemption in their Test series against Australia. It is worth noting that the Shan Masood-led side has a horrid record in the Test format while playing in Australia. Hence it will be interesting to see how things will pan out for the visitors in the upcoming series down under.
