BAN vs IND: Mohammed Siraj and Virat Kohli hand send-off to Litton Das in a heated battle
Litton Das was dismissed for a 30-ball 24 by Mohammed Siraj.
Mohammed Siraj is one of the Indian bowlers who likes to be on the face of the batter and has cherished setting up them with mental battles. He has improved a lot across formats and stepped up in the absence of experienced seamers like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. In the ongoing Chattogram Test against Bangladesh, Siraj was once again involved in a battle with Bangladesh batter Litton Das.
It all started in the 14th over of the innings when Siraj bowled a length delivery in the first ball which Das creamed it to the gully region for no run. The bowled did not like it and he straightaway uttered a few words to upset the batter's mindset. Das came down to the bowler and signalled him that he did not hear what Siraj told.
The umpires came in between to stop the heated battle and Siraj went back to his bowling stride. In the very next delivery, Das under-edged a length delivery onto his stumps and Siraj came up with his usual ‘finger on lips’ celebration. Kohli was spotted enacting the way Das had signalled to Siraj a delivery before and the bowler joined him in the celebration.
It looked like a lapse of concentration from Das worked in the favour of the bowler and India picked up a big wicket through the incident.

Meanwhile, Siraj had also picked up the wickets of both the Bangladesh openers, Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto and he has looked in great rhythm in the innings so far. India was all out for 404 in their first innings earlier in the day in 133.5 overs.
Shreyas Iyer who was unbeaten on 82 at the start of the day was dismissed after adding just four more runs and did not get to the three-figure mark. Ravichandran Ashwin (56) and Kuldeep Yadav (40), stuck an important partnership which took India’s total past the 400-run mark.
