Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by five wickets in the IPL 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru in the Match No. 34 on Friday, April 18. RCB batted first and put up just 95 runs on the board for PBKS to chase. It was Nehal Wadhera whose mindful innings helped the visitors take the game home, despite an easy chase that could have gone RCB's way had the batter lost his wicket.

The wickets had tumbled in the middle overs for PBKS, and they needed someone to hold the innings from one end. Wadhera scored an unbeaten 33 runs off 19 balls, including three boundaries and maximums. However, the RCB fans weren't happy with their team's loss and started abusing Wadhera online, probably in his Instagram comments section.

A video surfaced on the internet where teammate Harpreet Brar is on Instagram Live while leaving from the stadium in the team bus. Wadhera was reading the comments on the video and said, "Gaali bak rahe hai voh, buri buri gaali bak rahe hai yaar comment main (They are abusing me, they are absolutely abusing at me in my comments section)."

Speaking of RCB, the Bengaluru-based franchise has failed to take the home advantage this season. This was their third loss at home, with four more to go. Also, if they want to qualify for the playoffs, they have to win at least four out of the seven matches left. Despite having a low total to defend, RCB gave a tough competition to PBKS in the second innings. They claimed five wickets, thanks to Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar's brilliant bowling.

PBKS, whereas, secured their fifth win of the season and moved to second place in the IPL 2025 Points Table. They are almost on the verge of qualification with just three wins away. Hence, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the tournament goes for them.
