India played their first Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh on Thursday, February 20. The Men in Blue started with great content and spirit as they beat the opponents by six wickets. With this, the famous 'Best Fielder of the Match' videos are back in the same way it was being handed over during the whole ODI World Cup 2023.

This was India's big start to the tournament as all the players put up a great effort to win their opening game. Each player showed the same level of dedication. In the video, Mohammed Shami was seen saying "Catch toh waise mera bhi accha tha yaar" in a joking manner.

The contenders as shown in the video were Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul. For the first Fielder of the Match medal of the tournament, KL Rahul won the medal and it was handed over by Ravindra Jadeja. KL has been a consistent fielder behind the wickets and has always been attentive to understanding the bowler's mindset.

Coming to the match, the Men in Blue contingent were off to a great start to the ongoing Champions Trophy. In the first innings, India managed to take four wickets in the first eight overs and made it difficult for the Bangladesh team to score. The Bangla Tigers were restricted to 228 runs in 49.4 overs where India's Mohammed Shami took a fifer after his return to an ICC event, Harshit Rana bagged 3 wickets and Axar Patel with two wickets to his name. Patel, however, missed his hattrick as the skipper Rohit Sharma dropped the catch at the slip.

On the other hand, when the second innings started, Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 41 runs and Shubman Gill played it till the end and started this Champions Trophy journey with a terrific century. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 22 runs, Iyer and Axar for 15 and 8 runs respectively. Kl Rahul stood by Gill's side till the end and scored 41 runs.
