Champions Trophy 2025: Sunny Deol to watch India-Pakistan game alongside MS Dhoni

India will take on Pakistan in Match 5 of the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 23. It will be a clash of arch rivals who have an intense cricketing history and their tussle is always the most sought after in the cricketing world. Former India skipper, MS Dhoni’s recent advertisement hyping the upcoming was well received by fans and it has just catalysed the fervour. 

Joining the bandwagon is none other than Bollywood actor, Sunny Deol. Deol will be joining legendary wicketkeeper batter, Dhoni to watch the game live of Star Sports and JioHotstar, the official broadcasters for Champions Trophy 2025 in India. For the unversed, Dhoni retired from International cricket in 2020 and is seen only playing Indian Premier League for Chennai Super Kings.

Speaking of India’s campaign in Champions Trophy 2025, they won the first game against Bangladesh by 60 runs and have commenced the tournament on a positive note. On the other hand, Pakistan suffered a hefty loss in their first game against New Zealand. A loss from here will see them get ruled out of the tournament. While India have a game against New Zealand right after this, Pakistan will take on Bangladesh.

The ongoing season of Champions Trophy is being held for the first time since 2017, where Pakistan won the title. This made them a default host for the current edition.
