India are currently busy playing against Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series. The assignment has now reached its final leg, with the ultimate game being scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, January 17. Indian contingent reached the garden city a couple of days prior to the live action, and engaged in a sweating training session at the venue.

Meanwhile, Indian players were greeted by a surprise visitor during the practice session, as a recovering Rishabh Pant was spotted having a fun chat with some Indian players on the field, while they were warming up for the game. In the latest X post that has been going viral on the social media platform, Pant was seen having a word with ace batter Virat Kohli and southpaw Rinku Singh.

For the unversed, it was a forgettable car accident on December 30, 2022 that led to the ouster of the wicketkeeper-batter from the game he loves the most. However, his road to recovery has finally come to a merry end, as the youngster is set to don the captain's jersey for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, although there were talks that he might make a return during the five-match red-ball series against England at home.

It is worth noting that Pant is in the final stages of his rehab, which took place at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. After spending time in the rehab facility and gym, the left-handed batter has finally started stepping in the outfield to get match-fit, and also get back to his pre-accident shape before he wears the national jersey back again, which all the Indian cricket fans are desperately waiting for.

India look to clean sweep Afghans in garden city

As the 3rd T20I approaches, the Men in Blue will believe that they have it in them to whitewash the Ibrahim Zadran-led side on Wednesday. With everything remaining constant, Afghanistan have nothing to lose, and will look to clinch their first-ever win against India in the format, as they haven't managed to end on the losing side on six occasions out of the seven games played, while one game ended in a 'no-result'.

About a week after the Bengaluru game, India will travel up to land in Hyderabad for the first Test against The Three Lions, starting January 25th at Uppal's newly-renovated Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
