Creativity peaks as game developer turns Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s on-field scuffle into video game
The game involves the use of bats for the fight between Kohli and Gambhir.
Days after the massive on-field altercation took place between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, an anonymous coder used creativity to compile an online game based on the spat. The clip of the game has been making rounds on social media and has garnered a lot of attention from fans.
For the uninitiated, following the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore, tempers flared as Kohli and Gambhir engaged in a heated exchange of words. While the incident attracted massive attention for all wrong reasons, in a hilarious turn of events, one coder decided to build a game based on the fight between the former India teammates.
The clip begins with a walkthrough of the game as the characters of Kohli and Gambhir are designed along with their respective RCB and LSG jerseys. The creativity peaks as the coder brings the two on the field as the characters can be seen engaging in a physical fight that involves the use of bats.
It is worth noting that LSG’s mentor and the RCB opener were fined 100 percent of their match fees as it led to a breach of the IPL's Code of Conduct. In addition to this, Naveen-ul-Haq, who was also involved in the incident, was fined 50 percent of his fees.
RCB, LSG eyeing a playoff spot
Speaking about their campaign thus far, Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers have won five and lost as many games in their 10 outings. With this, the side is placed sixth on the IPL Points Table with 10 points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of -0.209.
On the other hand, Krunal Pandya-led LSG are placed in the third position with five wins and as many losses and one match yielding a no-result and have 11 points and an NRR of 0.294. As the business end of the season is approaching, both franchises will need to up the ante and win their remaining fixtures so as to obtain a place in the playoffs.
