Former India pacer Irfan Pathan's tweet humorously teased Pakistani fans after India's dominating win over Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup FInal. Another Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa applauded Mohammed Siraj's exceptional bowling performance, mentioned Siraj's impeccable line, length, and nerves of steel, crediting him for dismantling the Sri Lankan batting lineup. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal criticized Sri Lanka's batting and expressed his disappointment. Shoaib Malik described the match as "destruction & annihilation," emphasizing the one-sided Asia Cup final between India and Sri Lanka. Former India batter Subramaniam Badrinath playfully suggested that '50 is the new 49' in reference to the low score made by Sri Lanka in the final of Asia Cup 2023.

In some other notable trends, Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg pointed out Sri Lanka's struggling performance with just five boundaries in a 50-over match, thereby indicating their trouble against India. Besides, the former West Indies pacer and commentator, Ian Bishop, praised Mohammed Siraj's remarkable performance of 6-7 in a tournament final, highlighting his excellent control over line and length.
