Star India batter Virat Kohli has a massive fan following all over the globe as fans turn up in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the star cricketer wherever he goes. Kohli fans can go to any extent to meet their favourite player as on several occasions, they’re seen barging into the playing field during matches to get an up-close moment with him.
Recently, a fan ran into the play field during the second T20I between India and Afghanistan in Indore to meet Kohli. The person even touched the feet of the batting superstar in reverence and hugged him in a heart-warming moment. Following the incident, he was immediately taken off the field by the security personnel and was detained by the police.

The crazy fan was released following an enquiry by the police and received a grand welcome with people offering him a garland on his return. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media leaving people in awe of Kohli’s craze among fans.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will be seen back in action during the third T20I against Afghanistan on Wednesday, January 17 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The 35-year-old made a comeback to T20Is after 14 months during the second T20I at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.
Virat Kohli scored 29(16) on his T20I comeback
He played a brief cameo of 29(16) with the help of five fours as he looked to take on the opposition right from the word 'go'. Kohli has marked his return to T20Is ahead of the all-important T20 World Cup 2024 considering his excellent record in the format.

The Delhi-born batter has won the Player of the Tournament in the two editions of the tournament in 2014 and 2016. He also has the most number of runs in T20Is (4037) and T20 World Cup (1141).
