Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Defence of the UAE, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recently met the chairperson of the International Cricket Council, Jay Shah, and three Indian cricketers in Mumbai on Tuesday, April 8.
The meeting unfolded when Sheikh Hamdan arrived in Mumbai. He was on a landmark two-day visit to India. Donning a jet-black suit, Sheikh Hamdan held a meeting with Shah, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya before posing with them. He was also gifted a customised India jersey titled "DUBAI 11".
Sheikh Hamdan shared pictures from the meeting on his official Instagram account in a post written in Hindi which translated to, “a memorable meeting with Team India”. Ever since the post was uploaded, it has gone viral on all social media platforms.
Meanwhile, the triad of Rohit, Suryakumar, and Hardik are currently representing Mumbai Indians in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. They were a part of the setup in their game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Monday. The joint-most successful franchise was defeated by a 12-run margin at the Wankhede Stadium.
Out of the three players, Rohit is struggling in IPL 2025. He has scored 38 runs only in four matches so far. The team, MI, is also not doing well as the five-time champions have lost four out of five matches and are on the eighth position on the points table.

Rohit and Hardik were a crucial part of the Champions Trophy 2025 which saw India emerge champions. They remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, ending up as deserved champions by getting the better of New Zealand in the summit clash by a four-wicket margin at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in March earlier this year.
