‘Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden’- Shahid Afridi shares heartwarming post on daughter Ansha's wedding with Shaheen Afridi

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has shared a heartwarming post on social media for his daughter Ansha after her 'Nikkah' with pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi on Friday, February 3. The couple finally took the wedding vows on February 3 in a grand ceremony in Karachi.

The 2009 World Cup winner and former star all-rounder Shahid took to social media to confirm the nuptial bond and shared a heartfelt message for his daughter Ansha. He also posted two pictures wherein the first picture included the groom and the bride, and the second one which was taken along with some of the cricketers of the Pakistan national team.

“Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to Shaheen Afridi, congratulations to the two of them,” shared Shahid on his Twitter handle.

The likes of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shadab Khan among others were seen attending the event.

Meanwhile, the premier pacer sustained an injury during the Sri Lanka tour last year due to which he had to miss the Asia Cup 2022. Though he recovered in time for the T20 World Cup 2022 and featured for the side, his injury further aggravated which put him on the sidelines yet again.

After undergoing surgery and rehabilitation, the pace spearhead is set to lead defending champions Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super league (PSL). With the latest edition on the horizon, Shaheen was seen sweating it out in the nets and is on the course to a full-fledged recovery. 

The eighth season of the PSL is scheduled to commence on Monday, February 13 with the reigning champions locking horns with last year’s runners up Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
