David Wiese and Shan Masood's relay catch leave fans stunned during Vitality Blast game
The duo completed a breathtaking catch to dismiss Rishi Patel in the first innings.

Continuing with the trend, David Wiese and Shan Masood completed a breathtaking relay catch during a Vitality blast game between Leicestershire and Yorkshire on Friday, June 16, at Leeds.
During the ninth over of the first innings, Leicestershire’s Rishi Patel went for a big slog down the ground against Yorkshire’s Ben Mike. David Wiese, who was stationed at long-on, ran towards his left and grabbed the ball in both hands while jumping over the boundary.
However, he showed great presence of mind by throwing the ball towards Shan Masood, who was running from mid-off and grabbed the relay throw safely in his hands which resulted in a spectacular catch. Wiese and Masood’s brilliance brought the curtains down on Patel’s innings, who got dismissed on nine, leaving Leicestershire on 82/2 after 8.2 overs.

Coming back to the match, Leicestershire got off to a good start as openers Nick Welch (40 off 24) and Harry Swindells added 65 runs for the first wicket in 6.3 overs. Following their partnership, their side lost two wickets quickly as Patel (9) and Captain Colin Ackerman (0) got dismissed off consecutive deliveries. Swindells (39 off 30) also departed in the 13th over, leaving Leicestershire on 110/4 after 12.2 overs.
Yorkshire won the match by eight wickets
Louis Kimber (59* off 38) and Wiaan Mulder (31 off 17) helped their side reach 195/5, in their allotted 20 overs. Ben Mike was the pick of the bowlers for Yorkshire with his spell of 2/43 in three overs.
In reply, Yorkshire got their chase off to an incredible start as openers Adam Lyth (90* off 50) and Dawid Malan (79 off 45) added 158 runs for the first wicket in 14 overs. Michael Finan brought his side back in the game with wickets of Malan and James Wharton (3 off 6). However, Lyth remained unbeaten at the crease and helped his side chase down the target in 18.1 overs.
