Dhruv Jurel shares heartwarming picture with parents holding his first POM award

India wicketkeeper batter Dhruv Jurel has got off to a great start to his Test career by playing a major role in India’s five-wicket win over England in the fourth Test which helped them clinch the series 3-1. Jurel first scored a brilliant 90 (149) in the first innings rescuing India from 177/7 to 307. He further scored 39* (77) in the second innings helping the hosts chase down a tricky target of 192 and hence was adjudged Player of the Match.
Following his match-winning performance, Jurel shared a heartwarming picture with his parents who were holding his Player of the Match award sitting alongside him at his home. The wicketkeeper batter shared the image with fans on social media and captioned the post “Real MVPs of my life ❤️."

Earlier in the third Test in Rajkot, he scored a brilliant 46 (104) on his debut helping India get to 445 in the first innings. Apart from his batting heroics, Jurel even had a great game with the gloves as he took some splendid catches. In the two matches, he has kept the wickets so far, the wicketkeeper has picked four catches and a stumping.
In his short Test career so far, the Agra-born cricketer has scored 175 runs from three innings at an average of 87.50 with one fifty to his name. He has clobbered ten fours and seven sixes in the three innings so far.
Jasprit Bumrah returns for fifth Test
Meanwhile, India will take on England in the fifth and final Test of the series beginning from March 7 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. Having taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series, India will look to win the series by 4-1.

Ahead of the final game, the Rohit Sharma-led side has been reinforced with the inclusion of speedster Jasprit Bumrah. Notably, Bumrah helped India level the series 1-1 with his nine-wicket haul in the second Test in Visakhapatnam. Apart from Bumrah, batter KL Rahul will miss the final Test as he failed to recover his quadriceps injury.
