The European Cricket League on Thursday, October 6, produced a sight to behold in the 18th match between Romania and Norway with an absurd field placement. One of the Norwegian bowlers opted for all the outfield players in the slip cordon, a staggering nine slips with all the players visible in a single frame.
Norway batted first in the Group D clash of the European Cricket Championship against Romania, setting up a total of 97 runs in 10 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Romania, in reply, never looked like chasing the total, and with the result seemingly in the bag for Norway, they opted for a fascinating field placement.
With all the fielders lined up in the slips, the batters pushed for a couple of runs, guiding the ball through the vacant square region. The video of all the outfielders standing in the slips quite expectedly went viral on social media. American media outlet Fox Sports shared a clip of the event via a post from their official Instagram handle, which read, "How many slips do you want mate?, Just the NINE should do skip. How good is European cricket."

Coming to the match, Norway's first innings total was too many for the Romanians, who were restricted to a paltry score of 54 runs in their ten overs. Norway's Raza Iqbal was the top scorer in the match with his rollicking innings of 32 runs in just 16 deliveries. Pratish Thangavediel also made a valuable contribution of 16 runs in 10 balls
Iqbal showcased his all-around abilities by getting rid of four Romanian batters in his two overs, which yielded just six runs in a breathtaking bowling spell for the victorious side.
