India and Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has made some remarkable recovery, going by the most recent video which surfaced on social media. Pant was spotted walking without the crutches for the first time as threw away his crutches to show his physio the current condition of his legs. Not only he was able to stand properly with even footing but also walked smoothly without much fuss.
Notably, Pant sustained multiple injuries in a near-fatal car accident a few months back. Since then, the flamboyant batter and stumper has been on the road to recovery which included a few surgeries as well. Thereafter, the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals showed their respect by hanging a jersey carrying his name and number. Additionally, head coach Ricky Ponting did not shy away from saying that Pant is the 'heart and soul' of the Delhi-based franchise

Meanwhile, in another incredible development, Pant was seen enjoying his time at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, playing table tennis. Notably, Pant has been confined to the sidelines after sustaining multiple injuries in a freak car accident in December 2022.
Since then, the keeper-batter is pushing himself to recover and has got back on his feet. As he continues his recovery sessions at the NCA in Bengaluru, a video in which he is seen having a gala time, playing table tennis in the premises has gone viral.
In the video, Pant can be seen donning a yellow cap and is all smiles around his friends while playing a game of table tennis. Recently, Pant took to social media by storm as he posted a picture inside a gym, hinting that he is back and sweating it out. However, the eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed Pant posting a cryptic message while sharing the gym picture.
“Sports do not build character, they reveal it,” read the story on Pant’s social media.
Despite remaining on the sidelines, Pant has made his presence felt in Delhi’s matches, cheering them from the stands. He is also anticipated to miss the forthcoming Asia Cup in September and the ODI World Cup, which will be played in India in October.
Delhi Capitals require wins in all remaining matches
Speaking about Delhi’s campaign thus far, David Warner and Co. have languished at the bottom of the IPL Points Table. With mere three wins in nine outings and a dismal Net Run Rate of -0.768, the side is almost virtually out of the race for a play-offs spot.
However, Warner and Co. will need to keep their spirits high as they still have five fixtures to be played. While there is an outside chance for the team to make a top-four spot, they are heavily reliant on not just their wins but also the results of other franchises in the race. DC lock horns with RCB at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, May 6, and will be gunning to get clinch the two crucial points.
