There are only a few cricketers in the women's cricket fraternity who have played all eight editions of the Women's T20 World Cup which have gone down up until now. Skipper of India Women, Harmanpreet Kaur, is primed to feature in the ninth edition. Stafanie Taylor, Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry and Chamari Athapaththu are the others who entail this elusive list.
Harmanpreet Kaur has played in 35 T20 World Cup matches with 576 runs and at an average of 20.57 with a best score of 103 against New Zealand in 2018 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Speaking on the same, Kaur stated that she felt "old" ahead of India's season-opener against New Zealand Women.
“I am someone who doesn't remember stats a lot, but today, I know I have played nine World Cups. I have been a part of every ICC T20 World Cup. So, yeah, feeling like I am old,” Harmanpreet said in a video released by the official social media handles of the International Cricket Council.

This is the right time to do it: Chamari Athapathtu
Captain of Sri Lanka Women, Chamari Athapathtu, reminisced her past with a smile but made her intentions quite clear.
"I have played eight T20 World Cups. I started my first T20 World Cup in 2009, That was my debut. I have played 10, 12, 15 years, but we've still never made the World Cup final. I think this is the right time to do it," expressed Athapathtu.
Sri Lanka Women recently made a huge breakthrough in their cricketing history by emerging victorious against the Indians in the final of the Women's Asia Cup. The hosts were set quite a stiff target, but managed to sail through, claiming victory by eight wickets with as many deliveries in the tank.
