Former India skipper MS Dhoni graciously accepts artwork from fan on 42nd birthday

July 7 is a special day for many Indian cricket fans because it is the birthday of one of the most successful captains in the history of the sport - MS Dhoni. Fans have been running social media hashtags, sharing images and videos of the former Indian captain on the occasion of his 42nd birthday.

Some fans, however, had the privilege to meet the birthday boy. In a video posted on social media by a fan club of the wicketkeeper-batter, an admirer is seen presenting an artwork to the man. Dhoni also took a close look at the amazing artwork and humbly posed for pictures with the fans. During the special interaction, a few fans were chanting Dhoni's name, and the cricketer looked in their direction and waved at them.

Rishabh Pant cuts cake on idol MS Dhoni's birthday

Injured Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has mentioned on a number of occasions how big an admirer he is of MS Dhoni. The youngster had the privilege of playing alongside the Ranchi-born superstar for a few years in Indian colours.

On the auspicious occasion of Dhoni's birthday, Pant decided to cut a cake for his idol. Sharing a couple of photos from the cake-cutting ceremony on his Instagram account, Pant wrote the following in the caption:

"Happy birthday Mahi bhai 💕 aap toh ho nhi pass aapke liye cake cut leta hun mai . Happy birthday ❤️"
