Legendary German footballer Thomas Muller made it clear which side he will be cheering for in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India. Muller extended his best wishes to team India ahead of the Men in Blue's semifinal clash against New Zealand at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15.
He had previously wished team India and Rohit Sharma before the start of the World Cup. The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner once again wished the team good luck after wearing the team’s jersey which was gifted to him.
The footballer posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) and showed his support for the two-time champions. In the video, he could be seen opening a blue box and taking out India’s shirt which has his name and the number 25 on the back. He then thanked the team and wished them luck ahead of their semifinal game while sporting the shirt and posing for the cameras.
"Look at this, @imVkohli Thank you for the shirt, #TeamIndia! Good luck at the @cricketworldcup #esmuellert #Cricket” the footballer captioned the video.

With a total of nine wins in as many games in the ongoing ODI World Cup, Team India are in a blistering form. In the last league stage match in Bengaluru, the team captained by Rohit Sharma overcame the Netherlands by 160 runs to finish first in the points standings with 18 points.
However, the ultimate test for Rahul Dravid's men still awaits them in the form of the New Zealand team. For the unreversed, India had suffered a heartbreaking 18-run loss against the Blackcaps in the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal at Old Trafford, shattering the dreams of millions of people in the country.
Furthermore, in ICC competitions, India have yet to register a win against New Zealand in a knockout match. But at Dharamsala, India upset the Kiwis by four wickets in the group stage, breaking the Men in Blue's 20-year jinx against them in an ICC event.
