'Go get picture of Pat Cummins fishing' - Michael Clarke on his picture with new girlfriend making headlines in Australian newspaper

Former Australian cricketer, Michael Clarke, has recently come into the spotlight for something as non-cricketing as it could possibly get. Having separated from former Australian model, Kyly Clarke, after seven years of being married, he was recently snapped with Arabella Sherborne while riding his Harley Davidson after the two convened for lunch at a Japanese restaurant, Raw Bar, on Tuesday.

Interestingly, Clarke only learned about the front-page picture after his colleagues informed him about it on Sky Sports Radio's Big Sports Breakfast on Wednesday morning. He comically expressed his disbelief on the same.

"Anybody get murdered yesterday? Let's put a picture of me going for a motorbike ride – that's way more important. I (could not) believe it when you showed me that this morning. Guys, get your priorities right," joked a mirthful Clarke.

The dialogue regarding the same didn't stop there. In fact, it turned into a light-hearted but animated debate between Clarke and the radio co-host, reporter of The Daily Telegraph, Dean Ritchie. Clarke argued he should no longer be associated with Australian cricket and gave a pertinent suggestion filled with humour regarding covering the current skipper of the side, Pat Cummins.

"On a serious note, how does that make the front page? You can no longer hang on to your 'captain of Australia'. I'm not, I retired 10 years ago. Go and get a picture of Pat Cummins doing his gardening or going fishing," mentioned Clarke.

"I take the piss more than anyone about this stuff, but what (the listener) is saying is 100% my beef. It's called (having a) personal life. There's got to be something more important than me riding a motorbike. I know it sells, but the front page of Australia's biggest paper? Give me a break," he added.
