Rishabh Pant has given an account of his fitness after a much-awaited comeback since his life-threatening car accident. He was seen at his agile best during the Delhi Capitals match against Gujarat Titans on Wednesday. He was mercurial behind the wickets as he struck two lightning stumpings and one spectacular catch.
Talking about the catch, Pant showed his acrobatics in dismissing David Miller, who was making his comeback. In the final ball of the fifth over delivered by Ishant Sharma, Miller nicked one behind the stumps. The ball got deflected brushing the thigh pad and Pant made a clean stretch and plucked it with one hand diving to his left. Miller was dismissed for a score of two and dismissal further dented GT’s hopes.

“Lots of things to be pleased about. We talked about the champion thought process and our team showed today that we can play like that and really happy to see that. [on the bowling] Definitely one of the best, it's early on in the tournament, can't say much as we can improve individually. The only thought process before coming on to the field was coming in a better way, that's the only thought when I was going through my rehab,” said Pant in the post-match presentation.
