The Indian Premier League 2024 is on the horizon and with the marquee tournament all set for its 17th season, the fans lie in wait to see which side will go all the way to clinch the prestigious title.

Ahead of the tournament, 2022 winners and finalists this year, Gujarat Titans took to Twitter to share a motivational message from ace batter Shubman Gill, as the 24-year-old highlighted the spirit of the franchise with a few words of wisdom.

“If the team is doing well and you’re not doing well, you still can take it and move on…That’s the spirit of the Gujarat Titans… #AavaDe,” Gujarat Titans captioned the post.

“You want to get better and improve on your mistakes, when the team is doing well and you are not doing well, you still can take it and move onto the next match because IPL is one tournament where you actually get so many opportunities to redeem yourself as a player and as a team, that is why this tournament is so special. I think tough players and tough teams, they do last if they have the right mind,” Gill said.

Shubman Gill could be key for Gujarat Titans in 2024

It is worth noting that Gill was one of the best batters in IPL 2023. Scoring 890 runs in 17 innings, he was the highest run-getter of the tournament, and was crucial to Titans reaching the summit clash of the tournament.

Furthermore, the star opener showcased his skills in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023 as well, scoring 354 runs in nine games. He was sensational for the Men in Blue in the prestigious tournament, and it could be interesting to see how he fares in the 17th edition of the IPL.

Meanwhile, the latest post from the Titans had the netizens talking as they speculate that the franchise has dropped a hint of naming Gill as their captain following reports of their current skipper Hardik Pandya's transfer to his old franchise Mumbai Indians.
