Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra retweeted a hilarious post concerning Shubman Gill as the latter received a Tinder proposal during the series decider clash against New Zealand in Ahmedabad. Hardik Pandya and Co. completed a series win in the third and final T20I courtesy of an all-round performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium on February 1.
The side emerged victorious by 168 runs as the star of the night Gill hammered a stunning century (126*) of mere 54 balls. In the midst of the contest, one of the fans seated at the stadium held out a rather rib-tickling placard as she wanted a ‘match’ with Gill as her Tinder date.
“Tinder, Shubman se match karado,” read the placard held by the fan. Interestingly, former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra, who took heed of the tweet posted regarding the fan and Gill, immediately retweeted it with a hilarious caption on the platform.

Team India shift focus onto the Test Series
Team India convincingly registered a series win against the BlackCaps with sensational performances coming from the unit altogether. While Gill registered the highest score by an Indian in T20Is, surpassing Virat Kohli (122*), Hardik Pandya returned magnificent bowling figures of 4/16 in his four overs.
Following the series-clinching victory, team India will shift their focus onto the red-ball series against fierce rivals Australia. The two sides will engage in a four-match Test series scheduled to commence on February 9.
It is worth noting that the series which is part of the World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle will essentially set the tone for the summit clash of the event. It is due to the fact that the two sides are vying for a place in the finals of the global ICC event. The first red-ball game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. India have the upper hand with nine wins of their 15 series played in total thus far since the 1996/97 season.
