MS Dhoni stays in the limelight not only for his on-field appearance but for his off-filed shenanigans too. The former Chennai Super Kings captain broke the internet with his latest long hairdo ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024. Netizens showered immense love on his vintage look with a tweak of modernism to it. The man behind Dhoni’s viral look was hairstylist Aalim Hakim.
Aalim has been in the hairstyling business for more than three decades now. As per the hairstylist, he styles Bollywood celebrities in almost 98 per cent of the movies. He also revealed that the minimum fee he charges for a hairstyle starts from one lakh rupees. While talking about styling the wicketkeeper-batter, he expressed that he perceives him as akin to a Hollywood star. He also added that Dhoni was gracious enough to spare some time to click pictures after the makeover.
“When we talk about Dhoni, I visualise Mahi in a very different way. For me, he is no less than any Hollywood actor. I always visualise him as a star, as a cool guy. So, whenever there’s an Ad film shoot happening, I always request him. Let me record you or let me do some photoshoots from my phone. And then I post it later whenever I feel like it. And he is very courteous to give me time,” said Aalim in an interview with Brut.

“This time he gave me one hour, one and a half hours, just to click pictures. And whenever I got time, I would just click his pictures. And when I posted even that broke the internet. I have never seen people not liking anything about Mahi. People just love him, So, I don’t know whether I have done a good job or bad because I have done a bad job also people like it. Because they actually like Mahi. So, whatever he does people like it. So, if he shaved off his head, that will become a fashion,” he added.
