Team India leveled the three-match T20I series courtesy a nail-biting victory in the second game against the Kiwis in Lucknow. Suryakumar Yadav, who played a match-winning innings during India's chase, got together with spin twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav for a hilarious interview after the match.
The series-leveling win was set up by the Indian bowlers, spinners in particular, as they restricted New Zealand to a lowly 99 in the first innings of the second T20I. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was drafted into the playing eleven in place of Umran Malik, broke the deadlock for India after dismissing Finn Allen cheaply.
Allen's dismissal meant that the Indian leggie surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar's tally of 90 wickets to become India's leading wicket-taker in the format. Chahal's partner in crime, Kuldeep Yadav, who also impressed with his deceptive bowling on a treacherous surface, interviewed his senior partner after his landmark wicket.
"It feels good when you perform for the Indian team. I never thought of becoming the leading wicket taker when I made my debut in the format. Feels really good," Chahal said in an interview conducted by Kuldeep for BCCI.

The veteran leg spinner also asked Suryakumar about his innings as the batting ace played an uncharacteristically sluggish innings on a troublesome surface in Lucknow. The Indian batter gave a sarcastic answer, crediting Chahal for his batting exploits.
"Actually, I tried what you (Chahal) taught me in the last series. I would like to learn more batting tips from you to improve my batting. Please don't take it as a joke (talking to the fans), he is my batting coach, he teaches me everything," Suryakumar said.
Chahal then went on to goad local boy Kuldeep into ordering Kebab for the Indian duo since they were in his hometown. The Indian team will travel to Ahmedabad for the series decider against New Zealand on February 1 in the third and final T20I of the series. The T20I in Ahmedabad will be the last international they play before the much awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
