For every November 19, there is a June 29. After the heartbreaking loss in front of a packed crowd in Ahmedabad, the spirit among the Indian supporters was down for quite a bit. It took an unblemished campaign at the T20 World Cup 2024, culminating in a momentous come-from-behind victory over South Africa, to restore happiness inside each Indian supporter.
However, there still remains a vast void to be filled in Indian cricket. It seems as if it can only be accomplished via claiming the 50-over World Cup. In a recent event which Rohit Sharma attended, a member of the Mumbai Cricket Association was in conversation with a huge assembly gathered to witness the current Test and ODI skipper of the Indian team.
"Aani, aakhya bhartakanna vinanti Rohit bhau na ithe karto. Humko aur ek World Cup chahiye (and, I humbly request Rohit brother on behalf of all the citizens of India. We want another World Cup)," stated the representative.
"Aani to World Cup ghet astaana, aamhaala captain konaala bagaaycha? Konaala bagaaycha (and to get that World Cup (2027 edition) to India, whom do all of us want the captain to be?)?," asked the spokesperson to the crowd, who went on to yell Rohit Sharma in deafening unison.
