ICC T20 World Cup 2024: South Africa reveal their jersey for mega event, video goes viral
South Africa have never qualified for the summit clash in the history of the T20 World Cup.
The T20 cricket carnival is on and it will only go up a notch higher in nearly two months when the most-awaited ICC T20 World Cup will kickstart in the United States of America (USA) and West Indies, respectively. Hence every major cricketing nation is gearing up for the marquee event in some way or the other.
Hence, Cricket South Africa (CSA) are no exception to it as they launched their national kit on Sunday, April 28. In the same vein, the 'Rainbow Nation's board took to their social media handle to announce that they are releasing the new kit and soon its replica will be available for the fans to get their hands on. Notably, the CSA showcased their new World Cup jersey during the innings break of the final of the CSA T20 challenge at one of the most beautiful grounds, The Wanderers.
Speaking of the South African jersey, certain cultural and ethnicity element have been vividly followed when it comes to the design aspect. The shirt duly showcases the usual colours Green and Yellow colours while trousers have been the traditional Green. Besides, to make the jersey look more vibrant, stripe pattern has been weaved horizontally. Furthermore, the flag colours were ensured to be there to represent the unity of the nation on the vertical notes. The red, blue and green colours have been embossed along with the South African flag to give it a complete World Cup flavour.

South Africa will aim for maiden T20 World Cup title
Fascinatingly, South Africa has never qualified for the final in any edition of the T20 World Cup played thus far. Proteas will now try to bring their 'A' game on the plate in the upcoming mega event in a bid to claim their maiden glory in the T20I format. In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), some top South African players like Heinrich Klaasen and Tristan Stubbs have been in red-hot form. While on the bowling front, with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Proteas are surely more than capable of turning the tables on their opponents in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 edition.

As of now, the side has become one of the first teams to showcase their vibrant jersey for the ICC (International Cricket Council) tournament, which is slated to take place in June, later this year.
