'I'll tell Virat' - Rohit Sharma vows to convey fan's message, wins hearts with kind gesture

Indian captain Rohit Sharma's sweet gesture for a fan is winning hearts on the internet. The Indian team is preparing for the all-important second Test match against New Zealand in Pune.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two of the most revered cricketers in the current Indian team. They have some of the most passionate fans around the world. When the two icons of Indian cricket interact with their fans, it warms the hearts of the onlookers.

Ahead of the all-important second Test between India and New Zealand, Rohit met a fan after a training session at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune and the special interaction has received a lot of love on social media.

On his way to the dressing room, he was warmly greeted by excited fans. Rohit graciously obliged a fan’s request for an autograph and even agreed to convey a special message on her behalf. During their brief interaction, the fan requested Rohit to give her message to Kohli, saying, “Tell him his biggest fan came here.” Rohit smiled and assured her that he would deliver the message to the former India skipper.

India look to bounce back after defeat in first Test

India suffered an eight-wicket defeat in the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru last week. After being bowled out for 46, the hosts conceded 402 as Rachin Ravindra smashed a fantastic century. With their backs against the wall, India produced a solid batting effort and scored 468 on the back of Sarfaraz Khan's 150. However, they could only set a target of 107 for the tourists and it was chased down with consummate ease.

India will look to bounce back in the second Test, which gets underway on Thursday, October 24. They are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series as New Zealand look to become the first team to beat the Asian giants at home since England achieved the feat in 2012. Fans are waiting with bated breath for the start of the second Test as two of the top teams in world cricket are set to square off in a crucial tie.
