ILT20 2023: Yusuf Pathan pranks Dubai Capitals management, leaves everyone in splits

Dubai Capitals' explosive hitter, Yusuf Pathan, pulled off a prank in the dressing room on the management during the ongoing ILT20 in the UAE. The former India batter is a part of the Dubai franchise, which is struggling to find a spot in the final four of the top-tier league.

In a video shared by the official social media handle of Dubai Capitals, Yusuf was seen pranking the management which left everyone in splits.

“Our heartbeats looking at the video,” the ILT20 franchise captioned it.

The batter, who was seen seated in the dressing room, was initially pretending to be fuming backed by his ‘angry’ expressions, which left the management seemingly disturbed. However, he later burst out laughing as did the rest of the staff, who fell for the prank by the former India cricketer.  

Dubai aiming for a top-four spot in the league

With the business end of the league on the horizon, Dubai, who are placed in the second last place are still hoping to find a spot in the last four of the event. While it seems tricky for the side to cement a place in the elimination rounds, the franchise still has its fair chances.

The side has two matches left in the league phase before the elimination rounds commence. Dubai have currently locked horns with Desert Vipers in their penultimate clash and they will clash with MI Emirates in their last match of the group stage on February 5. 

The Rovman Powell-led Dubai Capitals will not only need to win both their fixtures but also need to win with a big margin to improve their overall net run rate. With seven points and a negative net run rate of 0.464, the side will hope to get two consecutive large victories to help their case of progressing to the knockout rounds.

However, they are also dependent on the results of other teams, who are in the fray for the last four spot. It remains to be seen what transpires and if Dubai are somehow able to pull off a miracle from this stage.
