ILT20 2023: Schedule announced for inaugural edition, final to be played on February 12, 2023
The tournament will start on January 13, 2023, with Dubai Capitals taking on Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the season opener.

The inaugural International League T20 is all set to commence on January 13, 2023 with the final scheduled to be played on February 12, 2023. The schedule for the tournament was announced on Tuesday, November 29, and Dubai Capitals will go up against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the first-ever match of the brand-new league.
The six-team tournament will oversee 30 games being played between January 13 to February 6 in the league stage, which will be followed by two qualifiers and an eliminator before two teams move into the finals. All six teams, namely Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Sharjah Warriors, and Desert Vipers, will face the other five teams twice during the league stage.
The top four teams will progress to the Playoffs. The first qualifier will be played on February 8 with the winning team moving into the finals and the losing team getting a second chance at the second qualifier match which is scheduled for February 10. The winner of the eliminator, which is scheduled for February 9, will play the second qualifier, and the winning team of that contest will move into the finals, scheduled on February 13.

The tournament consists of some big names like Andre Russell, Jonny Bairstow, Sikandar Raza, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Chris Lynn, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Trent Boult, Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Alex Hales, Sam Billings, and Wanindu Hasaranga among many others from England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, West Indies, and the Netherlands and Ireland.
Most of the franchises at the International League T20 are owned by the Indian Premier League franchises. Owners of Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders own the MI Emirates, Dubai Capitals, and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the league. Lancer Capital LLC, the entity that owns the football club Manchester United FC owns Dessert Vipers.
Three venues across the United Arab Emirates will host the fixtures. The games will be played at the Dubai International Stadium, the Zayed Cricket Stadium and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
