IND vs AUS : Jasprit Bumrah nails a perfect yorker to dismiss Aaron Finch, Australia skipper applauds him
Finch displayed a touch of class even as he walked back to the dressing room.
India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the second T20I of the series that was delayed due to a wet outfield. Jasprit Bumrah's return turned out to be an auspicious one for the Indian team as the star pacer rattled Aaron Finch's stumps with an unplayable yorker. Such was the venom of the delivery, that even the Aussie skipper applauded the bowler as he walked off the field.
Rohit Sharma made a couple of changes, with Jasprit Bumrah being the obvious inclusion in the starting XI after the death overs bowling debacle in the previous outing. Rishabh Pant also found a place in the team as India opted for an extra batter in the rain-curtailed affair. While Axar Patel did the damage with the ball with his stupendous two overs which yielded just 13 runs, Jasprit Bumrah stamped his authority in the game with a trademark yorker.
Bumrah came into the attack in the fifth over with Aaron Finch and Matthew Wade threatening to take the game away from the Indians. The Indian ace's first legal delivery went for a boundary, and his first five balls yielded 11 runs. But the bowling spearhead shrugged his rustiness and dished out a rip-roaring toe breaker that castled Finch's leg stump. Finch was seen patting his bat in applause for the bowler's sensational delivery.
Matthew Wade drag Australia to a challenging total in the rain curtailed match
Matthew Wade once again came to the rescue of the Australians as the veteran wicketkeeper-batter compiled trailblazing innings of 43 runs off just 20 deliveries as Australia finished with a more than competitive score of 90 runs in eight overs. Finch, who came into the series on the back of an abysmal run with the bat, gave Australia another solid platform with his 15-ball 31 at the top of the order.
Axar Patel was the pick of the Indian bowlers, as he scalped 2/13 in his two overs as the batters teed off against all the other Indian bowlers.
