IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma expresses displeasure when cameraman focuses on him during Australia's DRS review
Rohit Sharma played a captain's knock in what was a dominating show by India in the first Test.
The Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, was seemingly frustrated during Australia's DRS review, which happened during the first Test at Nagpur. Interestingly enough, the cameraman preferred to focus on Sharma and Co. instead of the DRS review.
Peter Handscomb was given not out by the umpire, when Ravichandran Ashwin tried to inflict an LBW dismissal on the Aussie. However, basking in confidence, the ace off spin wizard asked his skipper to take the review to which Sharma duly obliged.
Meanwhile, the constant focus on the skipper on the big screen triggered him to respond to the cameraman and seemingly asked him to better focus on the review process.
By the time this Test ended, Ashwin added another five-fer to his name and made up for the lack of wickets in the first innings of Australia. Moreover, Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed Harbhajan Singh and Nathan Lyon to claim the second spot in the most wicket-takers (97 wickets) in India against Australia encounters in Tests. The legendary leg spinner, Anil Kumble is at the helm with 111 wickets.
Australia succumb to an innings defeat in Nagpur
India continued on Day 3, from where they left off and piled up a total of 400 runs, only to add to Australian spin woes. Courtesy of all-round stellar performances from Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja, along with skipper Rohit Sharma's century, India remained on top throughout the Test match. Today, Ashwin showed his class to run through the Aussie batting to hand India another dominating victory at home. The magnitude of dominance can be understood by the fact that India hammered Australia with a margin of an innings and 132 runs.
Only time will tell how Australia will move ahead in the Test series, when they clash again in Delhi, which will most likely be a very spin-friendly pitch. The visitors will play the second Test starting on February 17.
