In an unfortunate turn of events, Bangladesh super fan Tiger Roby was rushed to the hospital by the police in the early goings of Day 1 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh at Green Park, Kanpur on Friday, September 27.
Initially, there were reports suggesting that he was assaulted at the hands of the Indian fans at Green Park before the police rescued him. However, according to the latest reports, Uttar Pradesh Police has informed that the young man fell ill due to dehydration before being brought to the hospital. They went on to provide an update on Roby's current health status, saying that the die-hard Bangladesh fan is doing well.

Rain forces early stumps on Day 1 in Kanpur
After Rohit Sharma won the toss and bowled first in overcast conditions, Bangladesh openers Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan negotiated the new-ball spells of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. However, Akash Deep drew first blood for the hosts as he Zakir to edge one through to Yashasvi Jaiswal, who took a fine catch at gully. The Bengal pacer struck once again in his third over as he trapped Shadman in front of the stumps with a delivery that angled back into the left-hander.
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto got himself set at the crease and added a 51-run stand with Mominul Haque. However, the former was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin for 31. Mushfiqur Rahim joined forces with Mominul and the duo added an unbeaten stand of 27 runs before play was called off for the day due to rain. Only 35 overs of play were possible on Day 1 as Bangladesh managed to get to 107/3.
