During the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, fans witnessed an unexpected twist, not on the field, but on their television screens. As the star batter Virat Kohli walked out to bat in India's first innings, the on-screen graphic mentioned him as a left-handed batter (LHB).

The incident occurred in the first session of Day 1 of the Test match when the right-hander came to the crease following the quick dismissals of skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. As the broadcasters prepared to show Kohli's impressive statistics, the erroneous graphic appeared on screen.

Meanwhile, the Delhi-born's innings was brief as he managed to score just a run-a-ball six before falling to Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud. Kohli's attempted to drive the ball, only to edge it to the wicketkeeper, adding to India's early troubles in the match.

Meanwhile, at tea on Day 1, the hosts found themselves in a tricky position at 176/6, with all their batters back in the dressing room. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is so far the top scorer for India with a fighting 56, while wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant contributed a quick-fire 39.

At the break, Ravindra Jadeja (7) and Ravichandran Ashwin (21) are at the crease, and have the responsibility to control the wobbling ship and guide India to a competitive first-innings total. Though India might be on the back foot, the team management will be still confident as the two spinning all-rounders at the crease can get the job done for the side.
